Churning, dissonant, and freewheeling, "Bacchanalia" is an attempt to viscerally conjure the wildest moments of ancient Roman frenzy.
-"There’s a term in ancient Rome, bakkheia, that defines the manic frenzy one feels when they are possessed by Bacchus him self. This album captures that very feeling. Manic, chaotic, yet certainly in control."
Runic Reviews
-"A wild, disorienting array of guitar, piano, drums and saxophone assaults the listener from every direction, coming at them in wave after wave of frantic energy...Overall, this is a truly impressive release and one that's quite unlike anything else that I've come across."
Cave Dweller Music
-"Taking their otherworldly jazzy taken on blast beats, the Tennessee trio is pushing the envelope further while making their abstract compositions, ah, more focused (?). If you enjoy free jazz and improvisation as much as you like your droning, Neptunian Maximilian-like menace then get on this wild ride and leave your ego behind."
Machine Music
-"If Sleepwalker, Neptunian Maximalism - NNMM, Poland's Zos and the likes plying free form metallurgy are in your wheelhouse, prepare to be inundated under the waves of noise that is Spintria."

9 out of 10 metal bands sound the same and are not memorable whatsoever. Crestfallen Dusk is the opposite. It's artistic yet stays fun, and you can tell it's created by the mind of a music nerd, which is a real treat. I'm not a huge southern blues fan, but who doesn't love some SVR? I have about 300 records in my collection, and this slips into almost (if not) top 5 territory for me. Great album. pwangler0521
Compared to Vile Haint, this project draws more of a distinction between the bluegrass/Americana influenced pieces and the black metal sections. A great complement to the overall vision. That digipack looked sweet so I had to order one. Matt A
Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance
